FREENODE PRIVACY POLICY

freenode allows you to post a link, upload a file, or publish a text post. Accordingly, because of the nature, scope and purpose of our website, there is no expectation of privacy with respect to that any and all content or personal information that you are posting. You acknowledge and agree that all information and data contained in your post on our website will be accessible and available to the general public.

We do not collect any personal information except as set forth below:

The freenode.net website includes information that enables you to contact us via electronic mail (e-mail address). DISCLOSURE AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Although we will comply with all valid subpoena requests, our legal team scrutinizes each and every legal request that we receive for compliance with both the "spirit" and letter of the law. For invalid or overly broad subpoenas, we will often question or attempt to narrow the scope of any subject matter sought.   • The personal information has been unlawfully processed.
  • The personal information must be erased for compliance with a legal obligation in Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject.
  • The personal information has been collected in relation to the offer of information society services referred to in Article 8(1) of the GDPR.

If one of the aforementioned reasons applies, and you wish to request the erasure of personal information stored by us, you may at any time contact our Data Protection Officer. The Data Protection Officer of Controller shall promptly ensure that the erasure request is complied with immediately.

Right of restriction of processing.

You have the right granted under applicable law to obtain from us restriction of processing where one of the following applies: The accuracy of the personal information is contested by you, for a period enabling us to verify the accuracy of the personal information. The processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal information and requests instead the restriction of their use instead. We no longer need the personal information for the purposes of the processing, but we are required by you for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. You have objected to processing pursuant to Article 21(1) of the GDPR pending the verification whether our legitimate grounds override those of yours.

Right to Portability.

You have the right granted under applicable law to receive the personal information concerning you, which was provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from the controller to which the personal information has been provided, as long as the processing is based on consent pursuant to point (a) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR or point (a) of Article 9(2) of the GDPR, or on a contract pursuant to point (b) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR, and the processing is carried out by automated means, as long as the processing is not necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

Furthermore, in exercising your right to data portability pursuant to Article 20(1) of the GDPR, you have the right to have personal information transmitted directly from one controller to another, where technically feasible and when doing so does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others. Right to Object.

You have the right granted under applicable law to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time, to processing of personal information concerning him or her, which is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR.
